Where a draw time is shown as not confirmed, we hold the draw days but not a time we can stand behind. Published sources disagree on the South African time for those draws, so we would rather leave it blank than print the wrong one.
All times are South African time. Draw times are when the draw takes place, not when ticket sales close.
What time do ticket sales close?
Ticket sales close before the draw, not at the moment of the draw. For the South African games above, the cut-off is 20:30 on the night of a draw. That is the same time whether you buy at a shop till, on the official website or app, or through the USSD line.
Banking apps can close earlier than that. Nedbank publishes 20:25 for entries bought through its own channel, so if you play through your bank, work to 20:25 rather than 20:30.
Some sources still quote 20h40, including the operator's own site. We have not been able to confirm that figure directly, so 20:30 is the deadline we would work to. If the minute matters to you, check with the retailer, bank or app you are buying through.
Buying after the cut-off does not lose you your money. The entry goes into the next scheduled draw instead of that night's.
UK 49s is a bookmaker bet rather than a national lottery game, so there is no single cut-off for it. Whoever you place the bet with sets their own.
